Moldova Become the New President of GHTC

The 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference (6th) was hosted by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which assumed the term presidency of the 56 member countries of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) in 2024-26 (April). The new term president was determined at the General Assembly held within the scope of the Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference (GHTF2024).

Moldova won the election, through which Germany, the Saudi Arabia and Moldova competed for the presidency and held with the participation of delegates from member countries of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC). In the ceremony held after the election, TRNC Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, who served as the term President on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the 2023-24 (April) period, handed over the flag to the new term president, Dr. Natalia Ciobanu from  Moldova.

New global council is formed to support, represent and promote the growing health travel and medical tourism sector. The new initiative was launched with the statement, “Our long-term vision is to become a standard setting organization for the promotion and delivery of healthcare services to all global citizens.”
