“Global Healthcare Travel Council “was established on March 23, 2013, at Monaco Le Meridien Hotel Business center right after, “International Medical Travel Exhibition and Conference – IMTEC 2013 Fair, with the participation of 38 countries from around the world. With a statement of “Our long-term vision is to become a model organization for promotion and delivery of healthcare services to all world citizens”
Healthcare Councils, Health Tourism Councils from variety of the countries attended the inauguration ceremony, in the meeting, founding member states signed accession protocols which was announced to the world byTurkey, under the leadership of Founder President Emin Cakmak THTC –Turkish Healthcare Travel Council.
During the signing ceremony, the delegations from Healthcare Institutions, Council and Corporate representatives of 12 countries were present, communications is in progress with 26 counties and 22 more countries invited to participate as founding countries, the number is expected to reach 60 by end of the month.
Founding country Turkey and founding President Emin Cakmak will be president for one year after that, the one of the founding countries will be a candidate, GHTC Executive Board will elect new president from one of the founding countries, and Presidency will be transferred to that country. During this initial year the administrative center and the secretariat will continue to stay in Istanbul. Within a month it is determined to complete the legal process of establishing the Global Healthcare Council, General Assembly meeting with the first Founding Members, will take place in Istanbul in the middle of this year.
GHTC will be differentiated with vivid benchmark healthcare services of the global participants.
