Cardio Applications

Experts at Near East Hospital Cardiology centre care for patients with a wide range of
complex cardiac conditions, including congenital (present at birth), inherited and acquired
later in life.
We have an outpatient clinic with echocardiography room, exercise test area, holter
monitoring equipment. For inpatients the ward consists of single rooms and also, we have
suits for patients who would like more private space. We have a fully equipped intensive
care unit and cardiac catheter laboratory. A variety of procedures is undertaken within the
department. These range from diagnostic X-rays (angiograms), revascularisation
interventions (PTI), to insertion of permanent pacemakers and internal defibrillators or
complex electrophysiology procedures. Advanced procedures such as TAVI (transcatheter
aortic valve replacement), mitral clip, left atrial appendix closure are performed with great
expertise. Temporary and permanent mechanical support devices are always ready for use
in critical patients and also high-risk interventions. Transthoracic echocardiography,
transoesophageal echocardiography, 3D echo, strain echocardiography, dobutamine stress
echocardiography, interventional echocardiography, coronary CT angiogram, cardiac
scintigraphy and cardiac MRI are all available.
