Shaaz Mehmood is an entrepreneur and philanthropist driven by a deep commitment to making world-class healthcare universally accessible. With experience spanning healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, hospitality and mining, he brings
MediJourn a rare combination of cross-sector operating experience and policy advocacy the complementary quality to business-building.
A Hyderabad Public School alumnus, he holds a degree in Law from Osmania
University. Across close to two decades, he has built adaptable, cross-sector companies
grounded in policy, process and institutional independence, and has worked with
multiple forums to advance policy change in the Medical Value Travel sector.
In 2019, Shaaz founded MediJourn, translating his operating experience into a
platform built on trust, scale and patient outcomes. That same instinct for creating
institutions from the ground up shaped his earlier ventures: a partnership with Olive
Bar & Kitchen that grew to nine restaurants across India, and Enliva, India’s first nitrile
glove manufacturing facility aligned with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission.
Beyond business, Shaaz is Founder & President of Youth Feed India, which ran one of
the country’s largest food-relief operations during the 2020–21 lockdowns and today
supports 7,000 underprivileged children with health and nutrition. He founded the
Hyderabad Chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and is an
active member of The Hyderabad Public School Society, which runs four schools
serving over 9,500 students.
A national-level trap shooter and advocate of policy-led institution building, Shaaz
works across healthcare, enterprise and community with an entrepreneurial spirit
anchored in impact, creating institutions that outlast the ventures that made them.
