President of the Global Healthcare Travel Council, TRNC Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, in the television program he attended, gave information about the activities of the Council and the health investment to be made in Famagusta.

President of the Global Healthcare Travel Council, Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan gave information about their activities carried out by the Global Healthcare Travel Council and reminded that in 2018, when he was elected as the vice president of the Council, which he currently presides over, there were vehement disputes in the parliaments and public in Greece and Southern Cyprus, and the delegates representing Greece and Southern Cyprus were forced by their governments to resign from the Council.
SOME EU COUNTRIES TRIED TO RESTRAIN THE TRNC BY CLAIMS THAT IT IS NOT RECOGNIZED…
Stating that he served as the Vice President between 2018-22, representing the TRNC at the Global Healthcare Travel Council, Ahmet Savaşan stated that his candidacy for the presidential election was again tried to be blocked by some EU countries, claiming that “TRNC is not recognized by the UN”. Stating that the Presidency of the Global Healthcare Travel Councilwas transferred to the TRNC with the support of many other member countries, especially Turkey, Savaşan stated that the Founding President Emin Çakmak and the Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu made great efforts in this process.
THE WORLD PRESIDENCY WAS BROUGHT TO TRNC AS A RESULT OF DETERMINED EFFORTS…
Ahmet Savaşan expressing great regret that the delegates from Croatia and Germany, who served together as vice president country representatives in the Global Healthcare Travel Council for years and worked hard for the development of health tourism by participating in congresses in many parts of the world, tried to prevent the presidential election by claiming that “TRNC is not recognized” at the general assembly meeting of the Council. Ahmet Savaşan said that despite all this going on, they brought the term presidency to the TRNC as a result of their determined and devoted effort and lobbying activities using the right communication methods with the decisive support of Turkey.

Dr. Ahmet Savaşan said “The struggle was not a struggle to make Ahmet Savaşan president. There were objections and the fact that the TRNC was an unrecognized state was exploited as usual. If we had allowed the election to be politicized, things could have gone to other channels. We defended our identity and state and explained what we would do during the Presidency of the Global Healthcare Travel Council, and as a result, we managed to get support. This presidency, which we have managed to bring to the TRNC as a result of an eight-year struggle, is very important in terms of our economy and our international representation. We have to keep our promises and even be successful by doing more than what we promised. I wholeheartedly believe that we will be successful by working hard with our teammates.”

Emphasizing that the work to be carried out during the term Presidency will not only be for the TRNC, but will also be aimed at adding value to the representatives of other member countries and developing mutual cooperation, Ahmet Savaşan claimed that they will make special efforts to bring health investments from Turkey and the international arena to the TRNC during their presidency.
PATIENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2024…
Pointing out that the investment protocol for the construction of a new generation hotel and rehabilitation center in Famagusta was signed with their initiatives and encouragement, Ahmet Savaşan announced that the center will start accepting patients in the first quarter of 2024.
THE CENTER WILL HOST 2 THOUSAND HEALTH TOURISTS IN THE FIRST YEAR…
Savaşan said, “At the beginning of our presidency, we are investing in a new generation hotel and a concept physical therapy rehabilitation center equipped with the most advanced robotic systems in the world for our country. The hotel, which will be built in Famagusta with 100% accessibility standards, and the center, which will serve with a multidisciplinary approach, will be the shining star of Northern Cyprus in health tourism.” Dr. Ahmet Savaşan announced that the center will start accepting patients in 2024 and will host 2 thousand health tourists in 2024.
